Born in North Western Montana in the heart of timber and farming, I cannot remember my youth without a pencil or a fishing pole in my hands. I had some inspirational people in my life, a relative who worked with C.M. Russell, through this and his paintings were inspirational as well as N.C. Wyeth a premium illustrator. My mother who was an artist, and a source of art supplies, my father was in the timber industry and was my critic, school mates who were artistic as well. I spent many days at the end of the road. It can be a wonderful experience to be in nature fishing streams which never had a hook or line. To experience a bull elk drinking within feet of where one stands down wind, to watch him brace as he looks, curiosity brings him closer. Climb to a mountain peak meadow with hundreds of wild sheep without worry graze within a rocks toss, so many the visions. To have a 1000 caribou some so curious they actually touch you with their nose, to have a large brown bear come from the shadowed grass and stare you in the eyes.

Art to me is a mood, captured, in a medium to which one finds the mood, relives, or appreciates. To watch a soaring eagle or have the experience to watch one eagle kill a rival in flight, to watch a moose browse and witness the grizzly stalking and the fight for survival .or the battle between rivals for the heard of cows.. Some times can be hours, days, yet simply the horizon no matter where on stands fine art is the wondrous capture of moods.

My mediums are not limited and apply myself in many. Inspirations from my expose', I may do something for you...
